Mohammed Friej

Artist
Gaza, Palestine
Profile

A Palestinian artist from Gaza, 22 years old, focused on building my future while developing my passion for art.

I grew up in a loving family, and my father always supported me and provided everything I needed to learn, grow, and pursue my dreams. After losing him during the war, my life changed completely. I suddenly found myself carrying responsibilities far beyond my age. Despite everything, I continue to hold on to art and hope. For me, drawing is more than a hobby—it is a way to tell my story, express my emotions, and share a message of humanity, resilience, and compassion. Every artwork I create carries a piece of who I am, and every kind word, share, and act of support gives my family and me the strength to keep moving forward. Thank you for being part of my journey.

A Tribute to Young Gazan Artists

This space honours the young artists of Gaza - brave, beautiful spirits who keep creating light in a world that tries to dim it, their courage and tenderness shining through even the darkest hours. This gallery is a small gesture of solidarity, as well as a reflection of the humanity and resilience they continue to radiate against all odds.

Art as Resistance, Remembrance, and Hope

In Gaza, art is more than expression — it is a way to remember, to resist, to hope. These artists carve colour from grief and beauty from ruin, proving that imagination survives what life tries to silence.

An Invitation to Witness and Support

This gallery asks you to pause and try to understand the voices, hardships, and lives held inside each piece. If you are able, please consider purchasing their work. Your support directly uplifts these artists and their families, helping protect their livelihoods and offering a measure of stability in a place where even life's most basic necessities are painfully scarce.
